General
• To purchase a handgun from a Federal Firearms Licensee (FFL), you must be at least 21 years of age. For a rifle or shotgun, you must be at least 18 years of age.
• You must present a valid, government-issued photo ID with your name, date of birth, and current physical address. If the address on your ID does not match your current residential address, you will need a second form of government documentation with your current address (e.g., a vehicle registration or a concealed carry permit).
• You must complete ATF Form 4473, a federal transaction record that includes background questions.
